Winter's Early Dress in the San Luis Valley
Morning snow on a range in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains

Late morning sun on the gold of the Aspens

Afternoon Sun on Trees

Artemisia tridentata Against the Sangre de Cristo Mountains

Cottonwoods at Sunset

Creek and Gate at Sunset

The West View

The East View at Sunset

A never ending light and color show of beauty.
And the ride out of the mountains...
Snow on Mt. Blanca across the San Luis Valley Commonwealth

Low clouds across Taos Mountain

Taos Mountain & Taos Pueblo

And so, back home again. Safe. Thank you Goddess.

Luna Loves The Ranch
And since she had someone to run with....all they did was run.

The goats are too funny. They follow us everywhere if we're down by the creek. And they're quiet. Since Luna doesn't pay much attention to them anymore, sometimes the only way I know they are behind me is because Travis gets into a herding position. He is a Border Collie and by nature, that is what they do. Sometimes, the goats give me a good scare because I'll turn around and they'll just be standing within an arms reach of me. Sneaky things they are.

Pasture & Trees with Dogs

The San Luis Valley was so beautiful this year. I'm so lucky to have caught it right as it was dressing in its final fall colored gowns of red and gold.

Taos Wool Festival; Dogs & The Backyard
We had fun at the Taos Wool Festival. We wandered around for a little over an hour. Helen and Jim ran into many of their 'goat'n' friends.
Fortunately, before the festival, we had stopped at 'Orlando's' for lunch. I can NOT go to Taos without eating at Orlando's. The best Mexican food I have ever had. So walking off all that food at the festival was great. The line for the 'goat burgers' was long....and I do like goat burgers. But I'll always take Orlando's over any place else to eat in Taos. Try it if you ever are passing through.
When we're not digging in the dirt or eating, we're laughing at the dogs. Travis is six months old and he and Luna became the best of friends over the weekend. Travis is quite the fun dog.
