Vegas Snow

Beautiful desert landscapes when we see this:

I took these shots on Monday. Many homes had snow that covered all within a few hours.

Soup weather!

Even caught some falling snow while taking a walk around the neighborhood. Minus Luna. She hates being cold and/or wet.

We're supposed to get 3"-6" on the valley floor tonight. 35* and dropping. Snow is a BIG deal in Las Vegas. Our houses are NOT built for the cold and our landscaping suffers. I've covered 'Sam,' brought in my 'Elephant' tree and put everything else up against the covered patio inside wall. Guess we'll see freezing tonight! I think we're ready. I'll try and get pictures of today's snow later.

Christmas - that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia. Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance - a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved.

Poor Luna! Not even wearing a pretty Christmas sweater will temp her to go out? Heh.

Enjoy your temporary winter Wonderland--we're having inches and inches of rain and never-ending fog. So very dreary!
