The Ghost Ranch

The Ghost Ranch is about an hour's drive from Santa Fe. This is Abiquiu Lake, a reservoir that you pass on the way.

Chris is a writer and we were driving up so she could attend a writer's conference. I'm along for the ride to drop her off and then I'm on my way up to Helen and Jim's in Colorado.

Nevertheless, Ghost Ranch, what a great place for some creative inspiration! They also have a 'high ropes challenge course' for the daring enough. And the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum.

The Ghost Ranch

Camping is available here without attending a conference if you are passing through the area. It truly is a beautiful place in the middle of the desert!

As I'm back-posting to get all the pics up, I'll tell you now she reports that she had a great time.

All the lectures were great, the food was good, and the views......well, the views. Worthy of time spent just sitting and letting your soul fill up with the good earth.

Here's a link to the Ghost Ranch Photo Album for more rainbow colored vistas. Enjoy!
